As of June 22, 2023, Rise Together Mission Society has been registered as a charitable organization by Canadian Revenue Agency (Registration # 767181076 RR 0001). While the estimated processing time for an organization with international activities was at least six months and as long as a year, the registration was granted in less than three months from the application submission. It was a pleasant surprise to everyone.
Now with the charity status, Rise Together Mission Society is able to issue official donation receipts which the donors can use to claim charitable tax credit. This positive update is hoped to boost the credibility of the organization and encourage more donors to consider supporting RTM. It also removes the barrier that prevents churches registered as a charity from financially supporting RTM, and we hope that it will open the door to more partnerships between RTM and churches.
